Come back to solid ground.

Gestalt therapy for people carrying more than they can name. Slow, steady work, at your pace.

Welcome

A steady place to land

I'm James — a licensed clinical social worker and Gestalt therapist. I work primarily with LGBTQIA+ adolescents and adults navigating identity, coming out, and transition, and with anyone who has been holding things together for a long time — capably, quietly, and at some cost.

Many of us have had to numb or deaden parts of ourselves to survive. This work is about something different: cultivating a way of being that feels more present, more authentic, and more fully alive.

If you are wondering whether this is for you, the simplest way to find out is a free 15-minute consultation. You can read about my approach first, or reach out whenever you feel ready.

How I work

Slow, steady, in your own time

There's no script here and nothing to perform. We follow what your life is already telling you — gently, with the body included — until the ground under you starts to feel like your own.
